In the report prepared by the World Tourism and Travel Council (WTTC) together with Oxford Economics, it is stated that 856 billion dollars were invested in the travel industry around the world in 2022, which is 22.5 percent behind 2019.

In the report, it is noted that in the list of the top 10 countries that invested most in the travel industry in 2022, 213 billion dollars were invested in the USA, and 146 billion dollars were invested in China, while Saudi Arabia was in the third place with 42 billion dollars.

WTTC projects an average of 6.1 percent growth for the worldwide travel industry over the next decade through 2033, with the strongest growth rates predicted in Asia-Pacific and the Caribbean.
